My name is Tina Benayas and I was born in the beautiful country of Spain.  Toledo is my hometown. (It's right in the center of the map)

At a very young age, I started to use the Spanish Fan. There was something about it that fascinated and intrigued me...I just had to learn to use it. Besides being useful (summers in Toledo are very hot), I found the fan to be exciting and expressive. I also used the fan to hit the boys on their hands. The fan I am holding in the picture is F-536.  My mother always used her fan when going to church, the park or shopping.  I admired her elegance and grace when she fanned herself. It was so beautiful to watch! She taught me how to use the fan and since that time have never stopped using it...

Years later, special circumstances brought me to America. I continued using the fan. There is always one in my purse. I take it to dances, parties and everywhere I go. I also teach Flamenco Dancing with the fan.

After a few years in the United States, I learned the import business and I started bringing over different products from Spain, like lace shawls, castanets and combs (peinetas). But the first thing I brought was... THE BEAUTIFUL SPANISH FAN!
